Greater Fort Lauderdale CVB Rocking the Fort Lauderdale Art Scene at the Riptide Music Festival
As an extension of the Greater Fort Lauderdale CVB’s ground-breaking “Greater Together” campaign, Starmark created a live art activation at the Riptide Music Festival on Fort Lauderdale beach. The thumbprint work of art was directly linked to the initial campaign, symbolizing the many colors of diversity that make up Greater Fort Lauderdale’s DNA.
During the festival, local urban-pop artist Ruben Ubiera used his signature graffiti painting style to create the mural. Concertgoers lined up for the chance to paint with Ubiera and help complete the artwork, leaving their mark on this community art project to show the world that we are all “Greater Together.”
All participants were encouraged to post their event pics using #greatertogether to spread this spirit of inclusion even further. The effort resulted in a day-long activation, including hundreds of people, social posts and warm welcomes, and culminating in an 8′ x 12′ piece of art that will become a traveling exhibit throughout Broward County.
Additional elements of the activation included a backdrop featuring “Faces of Greater Fort Lauderdale” and their stories. All of which are seen in the original “Greater Together” video, also produced by Starmark.
