South Florida Business Journal dubbed Starmark’s Brett Circe the winner of the 2006 Up & Comers Award for advertising & PR. The awards, recognizing outstanding young business leaders under the age of 40, were presented today at a luncheon held at the Broward Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale. Before Brett’s name was announced, the judges were quoted as saying, “this winner is the epitome of why we have this award … and it was an unanimous vote.” Gary Press, publisher of SFBJ, and David Dawson, executive director of University Relations, Nova Southeastern University, the program’s name sponsor, presented the award.
Over the last eight years, Brett, a Starmark partner, vice president, Interactive Services, and president of OmniPilot Software, has been a major factor in the growth of the firm as an integrated marketing communications agency and for his prowess in the field of software development and the Internet. Brett has also distinguished himself, without fanfare, for contributing his time and talents to philanthropic activities relating to children’s welfare, including Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, A Child Is Missing and Florida Ocean Science Institute (FOSI).
